Miami Dolphins place OL Danny Isidora on injured reserve

The makeshift offensive line for the Miami Dolphins just keeps taking on water. In the days before the season, the Dolphins played musical chairs with their offensive line personnel, adding OL Danny Isidora and Evan Boehm to the roster in an effort to help stabilize the offensive interior. But Miami’s offensive line will now likely be without Isidora the rest of the way in 2019 — the Dolphins have placed him on injured reserve after he suffered a foot injury against the Dallas Cowboys.

Isidora served as the starting right guard for each of Miami’s first three contests — stepping into the role initially filled by 2019 undrafted free agent Shaq Calhoun.

Isidora, who Miami traded for from Minnesota, will undergo surgery on his foot and is not expected to be called back onto the team’s 53-man roster before the end of the 2019 season.

From here, Miami can either plug Boehm or Calhoun back into the line-up and continue to look for any sign of growth from a youngster. But even then, expect to see a significant infusion of offensive line talent this offseason starting at the center position and working to the right — particularly if Miami ends up drafting a certain left handed quarterback from Alabama next spring.
