Metropole: Food and drink vendors revealed as new north coast market opens in Portrush

A fresh pop-up food and drink market has officially opened on the north coast ahead of the summer rush.

Metropole Market has set up shop in Portrush, bringing some popular food and vendors from across Northern Ireland to one of the country's busiest areas over the summer break.

Taking to social media to tease its grand opening on Friday, Metropole Market can be found on Eglinton Street in the popular Co Antrim seaside town.

It is described as "the Port's newest outdoor pop-up venue serving street food & drinks in the coolest market in Portrush".

A number of local start-ups and businesses have been announced and will showcase what they have to offer to brand-new customers on the famous NI coastline.

Here are the vendors operating at Metropole Market Portrush:

Filthy McNasty's

Popular Belfast nightlife venue Flithy McNasty's, located on the Dublin Road, will be giving Portrush a sip of the big city as they operate the bar at Metropole.

The space is fully licensed which means customers can grab a pint with their food until the early hours.

Jumon

Located in Belfast city centre, Jumon is known for its "focus on flavour" and serving up fresh Asian-inspired dishes that will have your mouth watering.

They have announced that they will be joining the vendors at Metropole this summer - bringing their famous offering to the sunny (well hopefully!) holiday destination.

Katsu Kitchen

After making a serious impression at Trademarket in Belfast, Katsu Kitchen is ready to wow tastebuds with their Asian fusion menu on the north coast.

It will be hard to resist trying their cheeseburger dumplings or Katsu fries on a visit to the new market.

Bodega Bagels

Once a taste of NYC in Belfast is now a taste of NYC in Portrush.

Celebrating the opening of its third location in Northern Ireland is Bodega Bagels - with homemade bagels, schmear and cookies all on offer.

Baps

Baps is any burger lover's dream and is a fantastic street food addition to the bustling new market space.

LA smash burgers, Nashville hot chicken, loaded fried - what else could you want as you enjoy a crisp pint on the coast during the summer.

Cú, Lisburn Road (Belfast Live)

A popular restaurant located on the Lisburn Road, Cú is also going to be holidaying on the north coast.

Focusing on the best local produce with Mexican influences, Cú promises lively food and drink and hope to bring their lively atmosphere to Portrush this summer.
