Met Office weather: Hour-by-hour forecast as heavy rain, thunder and hail heads to Bristol

A band of rain could arrive in Bristol this weekend, just as football fans sit down to enjoy the final of the Euros.

The Met Office forecast predicts Saturday morning (July 10) will start off with light rain before turning "rather cloudy" with some glimpses of sun in the evening.

Sunday will start in a better way, with cloud and mild temperatures, but just before kick-off the "showery rain" looks set to return,

A forecast for the South West said "thunder and hail" were also possible on Monday (July 12).

Saturday

Hour-by-hour weather forecast for Bristol on Saturday, July 10 (Met Office)

After a watery start, Saturday will be overcast for most of the day before brightening up in the evening.

The Met Office forecast for the South West tomorrow said: "Rain continues clearing to the east by the afternoon.

"Staying rather cloudy for most with a few showers breaking out and some bright spells later. Maximum temperature 20 °C."

Sunday

Hour-by-hour weather forecast for Bristol on Sunday, July 11 (Met Office)

Sunday will dawn cloudy and mild, which would be perfect conditions for the England team if they held.

However, a band of rain is on course for Bristol - arriving at 4pm to make for a lot of soggy predrinks around the city.

If you're going to a beer garden to watch the match, make sure to take a brolly with you - it could be a washout.

The Met Office predicted: "Cloudy with showery rain on Sunday. Scattered showers on Monday, potentially heavy with a risk of thunder and hail. Drier on Tuesday with sunny spells."
