If anyone is making plans for the weekend, it's set to be largely cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. However, this rainfall will be fairly small in the east and southeast.
Thankfully, things are looking up for next week with Tuesday to Thursday expected to be dry with a period of high pressure leading to "mostly fine and settled weather" but as next week develops, temperatures will hit the mid-teens.
Here's what's expected over the next few days, according to Met Eireann.
Friday morning and afternoon
This morning will see the mist and fog patches clear, leaving a dry day with spells of sunshine. The western half of the country will see more cloud cover with rain or drizzle at times.
Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees are expected.
Friday night
It's set to be mainly dry with any lingering rain or drizzle confined to the west and northwest, however, it will clear away quickly. Thankfully, it's set to be quite warm with the lowest temperatures ranging between 4 to 7 degrees but it should be colder in the southeast.
Elsewhere, some mist patches may form and as the night moves towards dawn, some patchy rain and drizzle will develop in the west and southwest.
Saturday morning and afternoon
Saturday will see outbreaks of rain and drizzle pushing in from the west coast, slowly moving over the western half of the country through the day.
It's expected to be largely cloudy in all areas too apart from the east, which will get the best sunshine.
Saturday night
Those living on the west coast can expect some light outbreaks of rain and drizzle. A mild but cloudy night is on the horizon with the lowest temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees.
Sunday morning
A dull and cloudy start to the day is expected with light outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Some mist patches, along with hill and coastal fog, will linger for much of the day.
Thankfully, Leinster and east Ulster will remain dry though with the highest temperatures ranging between 8 to 11 degrees.

Sunday night
Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will continue through the night and it's set to be cloudy too. Compared to recent evenings, it's shaping up to be relatively warm though with lowest temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees.
A few mist patches along with hill and coastal fog will develop too.
Monday morning and afternoon
A dull and cloudy start to the week is forecast with further outbreaks of rain and drizzle too.
Monday night
Drier conditions will develop in the west later in the night though. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 8 degrees are being forecast at the minute.

Tuesday
The conditions will dramatically improve with the rain and drizzle clearing eastwards during the morning with just some rainfall remaining along the eastern and southern coast.
Met Eireann state: "Good sunny spells will develop in the northwest in the afternoon with some evening sunshine for much of Ulster, Connacht and Munster. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in light to moderate northerly breezes. Mainly dry overnight with just isolated patches of mist and drizzle."
Wednesday
Another dry day is on the horizon with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in light southeasterly breezes.

Thursday and beyond
It might be a few days away but from next Thursday on, Met Eireann forecast a big improvement in the weather with the mercury rising to the mid-teens.
"Temperatures will continue to increase, reaching up to the mid-teens for much of the country. Current indications suggest that high pressure will continue to dominate our weather though with mainly dry and settled conditions with good sunshine at times," they state.
