Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is once again being linked with a move away from the club.
The former Germany international's future in north London looks far from certain as he's not featured under head coach Mikel Arteta across any competition since before lockdown.
And with the signing of Willian, coupled with links to the likes of Houssem Aouar and Philippe Coutinho, it would appear that Ozil faces a uphill battle to work his way back into the first-team picture.
Latest reports claim he has been offered a massive £15million-a-year contract by Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, to leave the Premier League in favour of a move abroad.
Amid talk of leaving Arsenal, Ozil has broken his silence with a message on social media.
Taking to Instagram, he took the opportunity to celebrate his seventh year anniversary of signing for the Gunners for a then club-record £42.5m transfer fee.
"7 years ago I joined the @Arsenal family and Mon. Wenger.
"And I would not hesitate to do it all over again. #anniversary. #YaGunnersYa. #M1Ö."
The 31-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Turkey but has also indicated a preference to see out his current deal at the Emirates Stadium.
"Things have been difficult but I love Arsenal," Ozil said in an interview with The Athletic last month. "I'll decide when I go, not other people.
"I'll give everything I have for this club. Situations like these will never break me, they only make me stronger. I showed in the past that I can come back into the team and I will show it again."
Whilst not directly addressing Ozil last week, Arteta did say that every member in his squad will be given a fresh start ahead of the new season.
"I have been really clear that everybody starts from zero all the time in football," the Spaniard told reporters. "What you did two weeks ago or two years ago doesn't really matter.
"It's what you are able to contribute to the team now.
"Everybody is going to have the same opportunities.
"They'll have to show with their performances and their attitude that they are better than their teammates or somehow contributing to what we want to achieve this season."
