Two woman were assaulted and tied up in an aggravated burglary.
Police said the men used a stun gun on one of the women in the house in Ashley Avenue on Wednesday night.
Detective Sergeant Eric Fairfield has appealed for witnesses.
He said: "Three men forced their way into the property on Ashley Avenue at around 11.30pm last night.
"The intruders assaulted two women aged 38 and 40 who were inside the property, using a stun gun on one of the victims, before tying up both.
"The males ransacked the property and fled with a sum of cash.
"We are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information regarding this crime to get in touch. Please call 101, quoting reference 1989 11/12/19."
SDLP Botanic Councillor Gary McKeown told Belfast Live: "This violent robbery is shocking in its callousness and my heart goes out to the women involved. The use of a stun gun is particularly worrying, and I'm sure it caused terror for the victims.
"I urge anyone with information to contact the police, as the community will be concerned that this type of crime has happened in their area."
