Men fight each other with sticks and fire extinguishers in brawl outside Wendy's

A huge fight broke out during the opening of an American fast food chain in South London.

Man were seen battering each other with sticks outside Wendy's in Croydon on Friday afternoon.

In a video shared widely on social media, a woman can be seen screaming outside the restaurant, My London reported.

She shouts “stop, don’t f*cking touch my friend” before a man launches himself at her with a series of blows, including one to the head.

A man then leaps out of the burger joint with a stick, which he uses to wallop the first man, who is also wielding a wooden baton.

As the battle erupts the crowd jumps back and the cameraman is heard saying “we got a proper fight now”.

After appearing to sword fight, the two men end up grappling, their bodies slumped together.

More men join the chaos before a figure bursts out of the Wendy's with a fire extinguisher.

They pull the trigger milliseconds before someone grabs the nozzle and points it away from its intended target, sending a plume of Carbon Dioxide spray into the air.

A person behind the camera can be heard saying: “You don’t bottle people man, you break the legs off chairs and batter them.”

As he finishes speaking another hooded man appears from the left, picking up a discarded ‘chair leg’ and swinging it at someone facing the other way.

A woman reacts with disgust, shouting: “What the f*ck are you doing bruv, calm the f*ck down.”

At this point the fight appears to be over as a man is seen walking calmly away with a stick in his hand.

In a statement, Wendy's said: "We’re aware of the situation that occurred outside our restaurant in Croydon yesterday.

"It appears to be an isolated incident, and we’re thankful that none of our team members or customers were injured."
