A car was deliberately rammed by another vehicle in a targeted attack by men armed with 'weapons' in Glasgow.

The incident occurred at around 12.10am on Saturday, June 13, on the eastbound M74 off-slip at the Polmadie Road junction.

Police said a dark blue Renault Clio deliberately struck a silver Nissan Micra before three men armed with weapons approached the Micra and caused further damage.

Detective Inspector Stephen Greenshields said: "We believe this was a targeted attack on the Micra driver and I’m appealing to the public for help to trace those responsible.

"I’m particularly keen to speak to drivers who were in the area around the time and may have seen what happened.

"I’d also ask those with dash-cam, private CCTV or doorbell footage around Polmadie Road and Aikenhead Road to review this for anything which may assist our enquiries."

The Clio continued to pursue the Micra, resulting in further deliberate collisions on Polmadie Road and Aikenhead Road.

There were no reports of injuries.

Police are working to trace the Clio and its occupants as part of their ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 0032 of June 13.
