A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly setting a woman on fire with flammable liquid in Glenroy, Melbourne.
Per 9News, it’s alleged the man, 41, threw a flammable substance over a 35-year-old woman outside a home on View Street at around 6:40 am on Thursday morning.
Police allege the man proceeded to set the woman on fire before he was arrested at the scene, located in Melbourne’s north.

The Glenroy woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening conditions.
She remains in a critical but stable condition. It’s believed the man and woman are known to each other.
9News reports the unidentified man was charged with attempted murder when arson and explosives squad detectives arrived on the scene.
The man has been remanded in custody before an appearance at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court scheduled for November 7.
