Mel Kiper and Todd McShay’s 3-round mock draft for the Broncos

Mel Kiper and Todd McShay recently teamed up for a three-round NFL mock draft, with the ESPN draft analysts alternating picks (subscription required for link to mock).

Kiper got Denver’s first pick, No. 64 overall at the bottom of the second round. With the pick, the Broncos add Nebraska cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt. With just five cornerbacks on the roster at the moment, Denver could certainly use reinforcements at the position.

McShay used the team’s next pick (No. 75 in the third round) to select Wisconsin inside linebacker Leo Chenal, who would likely compete for a starting job right away with the Broncos.

Kiper then used the team’s remaining third-round pick (No. 96) to add Virginia tight end Jelani Woods, who would help Denver replace Noah Fant’s roster spot in theory. Woods had a breakout season last year, catching 44 passes for 598 yards and eight touchdowns.

This year’s draft will be held in Las Vegas from April 28-30.
