Meghan Markle signs voiceover deal with Disney in fresh hint about career plans

Meghan Markle has signed a voiceover deal with Disney.

In return for fulfilling her part of the bargain, Meghan wanted a donation made to an elephant charity.

The news comes after she and husband Prince Harry announced on Wednesday their intention to step back as senior royals.

According to The Times , the charity is Elephants Without Borders, a conservationist group that focuses on protecting elephants from poachers.

Meghan's already done the recording - she did it just before she, Harry and baby Archie, seven months, jetted off to Canada for the festive season.

The couple fully intend to "become financially independent" after stepping back - with this most recent move perhaps indicating down what route they may travel.

They haven't stated how they'll win that independence, but according to experts, a deal with a big name brand could rake in the cash.

The couple were reportedly accused before Christmas by senior members of the royal family of signing a deal with "firms including Disney."

Ronn Torossian, of PR firm 5W Public Relations, dished on what he reckons the couple's financial possibilities could be once they go independent.

The move is said to have hurt the Queen (Getty Images)

He told MailOnline: "Their earning power - both individually and as a couple - is limitless in all aspects of endorsements.

"Whether appearances, brand partnerships or more, they could make eight or nine figures annually with endorsement deals."

Meanwhile, a source told The Sun : "Meghan is very connected in the fashion industry and there are a lot of major labels who would like to partner with her on projects.

"There have already been active discussions with Givenchy. Some of these deals could be worth millions of pounds.

"I'm sure she is going to link some of the initiatives to their foundation."

The move away from royal duties is said to have "deeply upset" the Queen, and left Harry's brother Prince William "blind sighted and incredibly hurt."

It was also reported recently that Prince Charles - Harry's father - would cut them off financially if they fully lay down royal duties.
