Meghan Markle showcases her old calligraphy skills

Meghan Markle is proving to be a woman of many talents. During her visit to nursing home Brinsworth House on Tuesday, the Duchess of Sussex showed off some pretty sharp calligraphy skills.

She was paying a pre-Christmas visit to the residential care home, which is set up for British entertainers and run by the Royal Variety Charity.

In a group arts and craft session, Meghan helped some of the residents design a photo frame.

She signed the piece: “Merry Christmas, Love Meghan” in an elegant script.

Despite the large audience she showed a pretty steady hand:

Meghan's skills come from her time spent working as a freelance calligraphy instructor to supplement her salary as an actress (before Suits took off).

The Duchess taught calligraphy, gift-wrapping and book-binding at the Paper Source store in Beverly Hills from 2004 to 2005.

She once wrote on her former lifestyle blog, The Tig, “The idea of someone taking the time to put pen to paper is really special.”

And since life in the royal fishbowl can get pretty intense, we expect it's also a good way to relax.
