Browns and reds for autumn? Groundbreaking, says Meghan Markle. But actually, the Duchess of Sussex is sticking to her brand new uniform of all-white-everything.
Markle debuted the new look during Pierpaolo Piccioli’s first Balenciaga show at Paris Fashion Week, arriving wearing a modest all-white look by the designer.
She wore wide-leg trousers, a white button-down shirt, and a white shawl. It was a little bit The Row, a little bit Julie Andrews in The Princess Diaries, and a lot regal.
But she’s not done! Speaking at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit yesterday in Washington, DC, the former royal was all-over-ivory once again, wearing a collarless puff-sleeved blouse by LouLou de Saison and a Brochu Walker pencil skirt with a central slit.

She paired the garments with nude double-strap pumps and Polène stud earrings, plus a diamond and gold trio ring by Ukrainian designer Guzema.
During her summit talk, which was titled “Next Level Influence” the Duchess of Sussex positioned herself as a content creator and influencer. She discussed her lifestyle brand, As Ever, and Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.
She called With Love, Meghan “a lot of work” and addressed the inner-workings of her new Netflix deal, which follows the $100m first deal they signed in 2020. The new deal is reportedly a smaller, “first-look” deal, as opposed to a more comprehensive overall deal. However, Markle now says this is a sign of “strength”.

“My husband and I were in an overall deal with Netflix then, not dissimilar to Higher Ground and the Obamas’ deal,” she said. “Once that had come to its term, the extension of it — which was such an incredible sign of the strength of our partnership — was now being in a first-look deal.
“Which is also exciting because it gives us flexibility to go to our partners first, then at the same time, shop content that might not be the right fit for Netflix but has a home somewhere else.”
Next up on Meghan’s Netflix agenda is her Christmas special. “Well, the holiday special is coming out in November. It’s a really good one,” she shared yesterday.

“So I think looking at that format — again, it’s a year of learns — so we’re able to say, ‘Eight episodes for two seasons, it’s a lot of work. And having done Suits for seven years, I remember what goes into a production. I also recognise how much people want content in different sizes.
“Part of what we’re testing out now is, it’s amazing to sit and watch a show for 30 minutes, but how can I give you a recipe in two minutes? And where can I share that with you? And how that continues to grow As Ever.”
Markle is currently in the process of expanding her As Ever brand. Most recently, she launched her own Sauvignon Blanc — a crisp white, coinciding with a set of chic white outfits. Coincidence? We think... probably. But it’s entertaining all the same.
