Meghan Markle could give birth to baby girl 'any day now', royal expert believes

Royal experts suggest Meghan Markle could be about to give birth 'any day now'.

The heavily pregnant Duchess of Sussex has not made her due date public – and refuses to even be drawn on the month her baby is predicted to arrive.

Meghan and Harry, who are already proud parents to Archie, announced on Valentine's Day that they are expecting their second child after the Duchess suffered a miscarriage last year.

During her interview with Oprah Winfrey alongside husband Prince Harry, Meghan would only say their baby daughter would be arriving "this summer".

But their baby girl may be here by the end of the month, it has been claimed.

Daily Beast's respected Royalist newsletter says Meghan's due date could actually be in May.

"The Royalist was always taught summer started in June, but there have also been rumours the baby was due sooner than that, so we think the answer is 'any day now'," the newsletter read.

She may choose to give birth at Los Angeles' Cedars Sinai Medical Centre, close friend Omid Scobie has hinted.

The £2,800-per-night Californian maternity suite previously used by Kim Kardashian, Beyonce and Victoria Beckham may be used to welcome the new arrival.

Omid, author of bombshell biography Finding Freedom, suggested Meghan may opt for Cedars Sinai during Channel 4 documentary A Very Royal Baby : From Cradle to Crown.

“There is a lot of speculation about where Harry and Meghan’s daughter might be born," he said.

“Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles has some of the finest maternity suites in the country.”

Suites at the Beverly Boulevard site, right next to the affluent Beverly Hills neighbourhood of Los Angeles, come with three-bedrooms and two luxury bathrooms.

A night in the deluxe maternity suites, which it is said could easily be mistaken for a five-star hotel room, costs nearly £3,000.

Meghan would have 24/7 access to a personal doula, who can offer “physical, emotional and educational support”.

Royal biographer Angela Levin has meanwhile explained why the pair probably won't pick a traditional royal name for their baby girl.

But she says the Duchess would be "proud" to call their second child Diana.

Diana, Elizabeth, Alexandra and Grace are among the bookies' favourite names.

Royal expert Ms Levin, author of Harry: Conversations with the Prince, told the Mirror: "I'm sure they will call her Diana.

"I think Harry would love that, and Meghan would be very proud because she would bring Diana close to him.

"What would be extraordinary is if the baby was born within a few days of the unveiling of Diana’s statue in the summer."

She added: "I don’t think they will use a royal name that has been part of the name of a previous royal who is no longer with us.

"They could try to find something maybe in Greek that will let them have another foundation.
