Meghan Markle and Harry's secret trick-or-treating Halloween date - and they posted photo

Before they told the world about their relationship, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry enjoyed some pretty exciting and glamorous dates.

He went to stay with her in Canada and America, and the couple also travelled to Botswana to work on conservation projects together.

But for Halloween three years ago, when the had been together for several months, they enjoyed a very traditional Halloween - carving pumpkins, trick-or-treating and partying with pals.

The fun weekend happened before the now-Duchess closed her social media accounts down, so she even posted a photo from the weekend which many believe was taken by her future husband.

The photo shows Meghan dressed in shorts and a big knit grey cardigan holding a large carved pumpkin in front of her face.

Meghan shared the photo on her official Instagram page before closing it down (meghanmarkle/instagram)

She's standing outside in front of a wooden fence and a large bush, believed to be at the Toronto home she stayed in while filming Suits.

According to sources, the couple spent the evening at a Halloween party at Soho House, one of their favourite bar and club chains.

Membership of the Toronto branch of the Soho House chain costs nearly £1,700 a year, with a £240 joining fee - but your money is no good unless two existing members of the club recommend you.

Meghan and Harry are regulars at the club and have also been spotted at locations in Amsterdam, London and the Cotswolds.

At the time, The Sun also claimed Harry even went trick-or-treating armed with a mask as part of the weekend's celebrations.

Local gossip sites reported that neighbours in the upmarket Dupont Street area of Toronto - where Meghan used to live - spied black SUVs idling at the curb earlier this week.

One resident told the Toronto Sun that she'd approached two of the security guards and asked who they were.

"On Halloween day, I came out of the house and there were two guys with the window open and I walked right up to them and said, 'Who are you? The cops?' and he said, 'Yeah, we are'," she revealed.
