Megan Thee Stallion has been diagnosed with extreme exhaustion after being rushed to hospital mid-way through a Broadway performance.
The rapper was taken to hospital on Tuesday after feeling unwell during her performance in Moulin Rouge! The Musical in New York City.
The 31-year-old underwent a medical evaluation after “experiencing concerning symptoms”, according to her representative.
“Doctors ultimately identified extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels as the cause of her symptoms” they said in a statement.
“Megan has since been treated, discharged and is now resting.
“Megan is incredibly grateful for the prayers and well-wishes from her supporters and is looking forward to resuming her role as Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Thursday.”

The rapper described the incident as a “wake-up call” in a post on social media on Wednesday and confirmed that she will return to the stage on Thursday.
“I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me,” she said.
“I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn’t.”
She added that she would take Wednesday to “rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been”.
“I’ll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve,” she went on.
“Thank you for always riding with me and loving me through everything.”
It comes just over a week after she stepped into the role of Zidler, the master of ceremonies and owner of the Moulin Rouge, marking her Broadway debut.
In February, she announced she would be joining the New York production of the musical from March 24 until May 17.
Ahead of opening night, Megan had spoken about her excitement at swapping the stage for theatre.
“HOTTIES IM ON BROADWAY!!” she wrote on social media following her first performance on March 24.
The rapper is best known for her songs, Body, Savage, Girls In The Hood, and WAP – her number one UK single with Cardi B.
She won three Grammys including for best rap song and best rap performance for Savage in 2021, as well as the best new artist award.
