
Medina Governor Prince Faisal bin Salman received Wednesday in his office Sheikh Sultan bin Said Al-Hinai, head of the Omani Hajj Mission, and his accompanying delegation to discuss the services provided to pilgrims.
Prince Faisal stressed the significant role the official Hajj missions play in leveraging the services offered by the Kingdom to allow the pilgrims to perform Hajj rituals with ease and tranquility.
Hinai expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Medina governor on the welcoming reception and the care and attention given to the Omani pilgrims during their stay in Medina.
Also Wednesday, Prince Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Minister of National Guard, checked on the forces participating in the mission of serving the pilgrims.
He was briefed on the latest preparations by the ministry.
The General Authority for Statistics announced that the operating staff, providing health and emergency services to pilgrims this season, exceeded 32,579, among them 9,216 women.
The General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection (PME) also announced the environmental readiness of Al Mashaer Al Moqadasa to receive pilgrims after the completion of scanning and inspection of industrial establishments over their possible environmental impact.
Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, inaugurated Wednesday a number of projects in Al Mashaer Al Moqadasa mosques for the sake of providing the best of services to pilgrims and facilitating their performance of Hajj rituals.
He called for establishing operations chambers for Al Mashaer Al Moqadasa mosques to follow up the services provided to pilgrims. He also ordered to provide the mosques with 100,000 copies of the Quran.
Makkah Region Development Authority started to sell tickets for Al Mashaer Al Moqadasa train. Up to 360,000 bracelets are also to be sold during this season.
