Meat:Stack introduces kids menu and more breakfast options at Bigg Market restaurant

Meat:Stack has added children's deal and a very adventurous breakfast item to its Bigg Market menu.

The introduction of a kids' menu allows family members of all ages to dine together at Meat:Stack's cheeseburger restaurant, which opened in the Bigg Market in July, after its founders enjoyed success with pop-ups, market stalls and a Grainger Market takeaway.

For £6, the kids' deal includes a single cheeseburger, with toppings of your choice, along with fries or fruit, a soft drink and an ice cream.

During August, a kid's meal will cost just £3 under the Eat Out To Help Out scheme on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Famed for its smashed and steamed cheeseburgers, Meat:Stack has branched out to breakfast too. As you might expect, there are sausage patty breakfast muffins and pancakes.

But there is one item on the menu which catches the eye.

Say 'salut' to the 'The Dirty Frenchman' a fried chicken, bacon and egg sandwich served inside a CROISSANT.

"We wanted something to stand out and be a bit different from the usual breakfast offering," Meat:Stack co-founder Allan Hyslop explained.

"Something a little bit ridiculous sounding, but delicious!

"

The Dirty Frenchman sells for £7.50, but during Eat Out to Help Out it will cost customers £3.75.

Other items from the breakfast menu include a double sausage and egg breakfast muffin for £4.50 (£2.25 during Eat Out to Help Out) and American pancakes with cinnamon butter, maple syrup and bacon for £5 (or £2.50 under Eat Out to Help Out).

Customers can get free refills on filter coffee while the breakfast menu is running.

Since American diner-inspired Meat:Stack opened in the Bigg Market, it's breakfast offers have been a hit, Allan told ChronicleLive.

He said: "We've had a fantastic response, especially on Saturday and Sunday mornings. It's a nice place for people to sit, with the music and coffee refills."
