McFly star Harry Judd has sparked rumours that he will appear on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! by telling fans he is “going away for a month”.

The first episode of I’m a Celebrity will air on Sunday, November 6, and the lineup includes royal family member Mike Tindall and England Lioness Jill Scott.

But the show often introduces two contestants at a later date – with one of these latecomers thought to be MP Matt Hancock.

Now, a social media post from the McFly drummer has fans believing he’ll be the second.

Judd and his wife shared cryptic Instagram posts that said he would be offline for a month.

Judd told his Instagram followers: “I’m going away for a month. Having a digital detox.”

His wife, Izzy Judd, then fuelled the rumours by saying: “Harry is away for work for the next 4 weeks. I can’t say too much but he will be offline.

“Going to be such a challenge to be apart, separation anxiety is a tough one to navigate at the best of times! Very grateful for family and friends who are supporting me through.”

Fans believe the cryptic Instagram posts suggest Judd will appear on I’m a Celebrity, which lasts for around three weeks. During the series the contestants enter a jungle with no phones, laptops or technology of any kind.

One fan said: “Oh if this is I’m a Celeb he has my vote already.”

Another said: “Oh my god please tell me you’re doing I’m a Celebrity.”

If Judd were to appear on I’m a Celebrity, he wouldn’t be the first McFly star to do so.

His bandmate Dougie Poynter won the show in 2011, while his bandmate Tom Fletcher’s wife, Giovanna, won in 2020.

Judd himself is no stranger to reality shows either, as he won Strictly Come Dancing in 2011.

The Evening Standard has contacted Judd’s representatives for comment.
