Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott has mocked Arsenal's Community Shield win over his club by dubbing the competition a "McDonalds trophy."
The 17-year-old, who has only four Premier League appearances to his name, played no part for Jurgen Klopp's side as they were beaten by the Gunners at Wembley on Saturday, remaining an unused substitute.
And he could do nothing but watch from the sidelines as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fired home the winning penalty, sealing a 5-4 shoot-out win for the Gunners.
But that did not stop him taking to social media to try and cheapen Arsenal's win. He commented on an InstagramLive video saying "I'm not worrying bro," and added, "McDonalds trophy anyway."
He later commented: "6 Champions Leagues."
Arsenal's community shield win saw them lift their second trophy in as many competitive games, 30 days on from their FA Cup final win.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said: “I am so happy. I knew the challenge we faced against incredible opponents.
"I was pleased with our courage, how we pressed and made decisions. We sustained it in the second half. The last ten minutes, we dominated and created two good chances to win.
"Hopefully they can get used to it, it creates belief and a good atmosphere. Big games, big moments, big players."
