McDonald's breakfast is loved across the world for being the ideal morning treat and now Aldi has a way its customers can make their own 'McMuffins' for a fraction of the cost.
Fans of the budget supermarket even claim its version tastes just like McMuffins from McDonald's.
Initially shared on Facebook, one shopper revealed how she makes her 'breakfast fakeaway' for under £5.
Method for making your own McMuffin from Aldi:
- You’ll need soft white toasting muffins (42p, pack of 4) – toast as little or as much as you like
- Next up, cook the Oakhurst Pork Patties (£1.39, pack of 6) and add an egg on top (£1.25, pack of 6).
- Finish by topping with a Hash Brown (69p, 750g).
The total cost of Aldi ingredients is £3.75 or £4.44 with the hash browns, which works out at around 93p per McMuffin or £1.11 if you're adding the hash brown.
This means a saving of around £1.26 per muffin.
