Curtis Pritchard finally got the green light from Maura Higgins' mum - but did he not make a great first impression in the villa?
Sharon uploaded a cute picture to her Instagram account and gave Maura's new man the thumbs up.
But it was what she said that had fans guessing.
"Finally got to hug these two yesterday," she captioned the image. "Have missed my baby girl so much.
"And after finally talking to @curtispritchard12.. can say he is a lovely lad. It was a pleasure to take to him and I'm so proud of them both."
Of course, the pair did chat in the villa on the parents visit episode - so was this a step forward from the first meeting?
Love Island viewers were convinced the pair didn't get on last week.
Sharon unconvincingly told her daughter on the show that "there's obviously something you see in him."
Those watching at home picked up on this and said her reaction was very bad news for the dancer.
"Maura's mum doesn't rate Curtis at all and neither do I #LoveIsland" one said on twitter.
Another added: "sooooOoooo maura’s mum hates curtis #LoveIsland".
"Maura's mum has already got him sussed it couldn't be clearer that Curtis hasn't got a chance here you may as well go home now mate the mother has spoken!" joked a viewer.
A fourth put: "'There’s obviously something you see in him.' Maura’s mum is a savage #loveisland"
It wasn't the only parental problem.
Curtis' mother repeatedly failed to say Maura's name correctly, instead calling her Moira.
