Matthew Stafford has been efficient in 2019

Through five games, Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has thrown just two interceptions.

That would put him on pace to throw just six in 2019, which would mark a career-low.

Stafford threw one interception in 2010, but he played just three games.

Stafford is also on pace to throw for 4,438 yards and 28 touchdowns. If Stafford can keep these numbers up, the Lions will be in a pretty good place.

His next step will be against a tough Vikings defense on Sunday in Detroit.

Stafford has struggled against Minnesota for the most part in his career, averaging 239 yards and just over a touchdown per game. The Lions are 8-10 in 18 starts from Stafford.

This is such an important game for both teams. The Lions are coming off a controversial loss to the Packers on Monday Night Football and sit at 2-2-1, last in the NFC North. The Vikings are at 4-2, but are 0-2 against NFC North teams on the road. They don’t want to slide to 0-3, and a lot of that will have to do with how much success Stafford has.
