Matt LaFleur was briefly stopped by security trying to get to his own locker room

The Green Bay Packers got off to a hot start on Thanksgiving against the Detroit Lions.

A little too hot for a local Michigan security supervisor.

Fox cameras caught Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur jogging toward the visitor’s locker room for halftime at Ford Field. Along the way, a security guard briefly stopped him as if he weren’t holding a play sheet and, notably, one of the winningest active coaches in the league (51-25 in four-plus seasons with the Packers).

It was a weird scene. Detroit’s on-field staff was preparing for Jack Harlow’s Dollar Tree-funded halftime performance. A guy in sweats who looks like he’s approximately 20 percent as old as Bill Belichick came running toward the bowels of the stadium. And before security could make an honest assessment, the two were on each other.

It wasn’t much of a confrontation, and honestly didn’t really seem like an issue. But it was enough to earn special mention from Fox’s broadcast crew at the start of the third quarter.

Fans, looking for something to talk about other than Green Bay’s unexpected first half domination, decided to talk about it. Here’s what they had to say, sorted out among the entirely too many absolutely thirsty tweets about how handsome LaFleur is.
