At 49 years old, Matt Crafton has been a part of the NASCAR Truck Series for almost 25 years with 585 starts. He also hasn't missed a single race since the 2000 season in a record streak.
However, that run will come to an end after the 2025 season. Crafton, who has three Truck Series championships (2013, 2014, and 2019), will step back from his role as a full-time driver.
"ThorSport Racing announces a new chapter for its storied No. 88 NASCAR Truck Series entry," said the team in a Monday announcement. "Three-time series champion Matt Crafton will complete his full-time role after the 2025 season. His 23-year partnership with Menards is the longest-running driver/primary sponsorship relationship in NASCAR history. Teammate and 2024 series champion, Ty Majeski, will pilot the No. 88 full-time in 2026."

Crafton hasn't won a Truck race since 2020, and has missed the playoffs in back-to-back seasons. Majeski currently competes in the No. 98 ThorSport truck, and no one besides Crafton has piloted the No. 88 since the 2004 season.
Along with 15 wins and three titles in the Truck Series, Crafton has made three starts in the Cup Series, including the 2015 Daytona 500 where he filled in for an injured Kyle Busch. That's where he earned his career-best result at the top level of the sport, finishing 18th.
