Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has claimed Mason Greenwood is already better than Red Devils teammate Marcus Rashford.
Greenwood, 18, has enjoyed an impressive breakthrough campaign at Old Trafford, scoring 16 goals to help propel United back into top-four contention.
He is being touted to gatecrash Gareth Southgate's England squad - of which Rashford is a mainstay - when the Three Lions return to action in September.
And Yorke believes the form Greenwood has shown this season has already seen him surpass Rashford.
"He is getting all the praise right now because he is certainly hot at the moment with what he is doing," said the former Trinidad and Tobago forward.
"The trend at United is that the young players have always been getting chances.
"Under LVG [Louis van Gaal] and [Jose] Mourinho, they have not got their chances. Ole has come in and recognized that part of Man Utd. Mason, under Jose, probably would not have got a game.
"Mason is a defender's nightmare. If you look at us in the last 2-3 years, we have been passing sideways, now these guys are driving teams back into their own area. He is a fantastic talent.
"He is better than Rashford, looking at his record now. You got to understand though he is still 18, at a development stage. Having Ole there, he would guide him along the way."
Rashford has plundered 22 goals so far this campaign, but failed to find the net as United were beaten 3-1 by Chelsea on Sunday in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
Greenwood started the game on the bench as two David de Gea errors helped the Blues seal a final berth against Arsenal, who beat Manchester City 24 hours earlier.
