Masked gang toss chairs in huge rammy outside Glasgow city centre pub

Police have launched a probe into mass brawl outside a city centre bar in broad daylight yesterday.

Footage has been shared with the Daily Record of the violent clash outside Oswald's Bar just before 3pm on Saturday, November 20.

The video shows a crowd of people wearing matching hoodies throwing chairs and tables at the pub and drinkers outside.

It also shows another group off camera also throwing chairs and other objects back at the crowd.

One woman is forced to take cover inside a telephone box as the violence unfolds in the street between the two groups.

There were no reports of any serious injuries, however there was exterior damage to the pub.

Detective Inspector John Semple said: "We are aware of videos circulating online and we're appealing for witnesses to help us identify those involved.

"Our enquiries have been ongoing since the incident happened and we are continuing to review CCTV footage.

"I would encourage anyone with information about this incident, who perhaps witnessed anything related to this shortly before or after the incident took place, to contact us.

"Mobile phone videos or dash cam footage can also be submitted to us."

Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 2206 of 20 November. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
