Mary Cosby questions son's marriage status, urges honesty amid noise

Mary M. Cosby doubts her son's marriage and wants to see "paperwork."

In a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 4 reunion, Mary M. Cosby made her thoughts on her son's marriage known. Despite rumors swirling about her son Robert Jr. Cosby's union, Mary revealed that she still didn't believe he was married. She expressed her doubts and stated that she wouldn't consider his wife official until she sees the 'paperwork.'

Mary admitted that she had been referring to Robert Jr.'s wife as his girlfriend, creating an environment where he felt unable to come clean about his marital status. She believed that at 21 years old, her son was too young to be married.

Living under the same roof with her son and his new wife has presented its challenges for Mary. In unreleased footage, Mary revealed to her makeup artist that their bedroom activities had been causing disturbance. She spoke about the 'all this noise' coming from upstairs and expressed her concern, saying, 'Don't make my son think he's better than he is. Stop doing all that. Stop playing with him.'

Mary clarified her comments during the reunion, explaining that she didn't think her son was bad in bed. Instead, she wanted her son's partner to be genuine and not pretend to be something she's not. Mary recalled a moment when she walked past their bedroom and heard loud noises, mimicking a loud orgasm, and a yell. She was on the verge of bursting into the room to check if everyone was okay but realized she didn't need to intervene.

Her advice to her son's wife or girlfriend was simple – be true to their relationship. If it's passionate, then let it be. But if it's not, then there's no need to fake it. Mary didn't want her son to develop an inflated ego or think he was something he wasn't.

The complexities of family dynamics were on full display in this episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, highlighting the challenges of living together and the need for open and honest communication. The episode brought attention to Mary M. Cosby's concerns and her desire for her son's relationship to be grounded in authenticity.

As the season unfolds, audiences will have the opportunity to see how these relationships continue to evolve and if Mary's advice has an impact on her son's understanding of his own marriage. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
