Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is adding a new X-Men lineup ahead of its August launch. The 4v4 tag fighter hits PlayStation 5 and PC on Aug. 6, 2026, and its latest trailer introduces the Unbreakable X-Men as the next featured team in the game’s character roster.
The Unbreakable X-Men reveal brings four mutants into the game: Storm, Magik, Wolverine, and Danger. In the game’s story setup, a new threat is moving toward Earth while several core X-Men members are sidelined after a recent battle. Storm steps up as leader, guided by Charles Xavier, and forms the Unbreakable X-Men to face what’s coming.
Storm is built around commanding wind and lightning. Magik leans into close-range pressure with the Soulsword and her demonic magic. Wolverine, the team’s rushdown brawler with several conscious nods to his Marvel vs Capcom iterations. Danger, the former Danger Room AI, joins in a physical form and being a more unconventional mutant pick hardly anyone expected to see in Tōkon.
With this announcement, we now know the names of twelve characters out of twenty:
- Spider-Man
- Iron Man
- Captain America
- Storm
- Ghost Rider
- Doctor Doom
- Star Lord
- Ms. Marvel
- Storm
- Magik
- Wolverine
- Danger

Arc System Works also talked about the single-player component of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, the Episode Mode. It’s built specifically for the game’s version of the Marvel universe, and is presented as manga-style motion comics. The mode will include full voice acting across 10 languages, support spatial audio through PS5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech, and incorporate DualSense features.

The Standard Edition is priced at $59.99 USD.
