Fans have rushed to offer Martin Lewis support and he clapped back at an online troll. The Money Saving Expert hit out after a Twitter user called him a millionaire in a remark on Tuesday, June 27.
After seeing the tweet, Martin typed: "I know it's terrible isn't it. What we really want is those people who've been financially successful to be real b******* to everyone else.
"Sorry I've let you down." According to Birmingham Live, one of his fans replied to his tweet, stating: "Who was it said, when i was poor and spoke up against inequality people called me jealous, now that I’m rich they call me a hypocrite?"

Martin told his follower: "Never heard that before - but I may steal it! :)" Another fan said: "Martin why do I keep getting your tweets twice? Happening loads. It’s not new versions."
Martin shared: "Its because when i edit them (usually as I've rushed and done a typo) for some reason it does it as a new tweet and keeps the old ones!" Whilst another supporter tweeted: "How dare you devote so much time to help others with crucial advice that can often save people's lives Martin while being successful How very dare you And thank you for all you do.
"Sir Martin Lewis should be coming soon." Another said: "Yeah another millionaire do gooder who spends a good chunk of every day interacting on Twitter with people who have partially contributed to his success with follows, watching his shows, purchasing via MSE affiliate links etc. Pure evil."
A viewer tweeted said: "If it wasn’t for Martin Lewis. I would not of known of half the help I entitled to.
"My Mum loves him and kept going on at me to claim for WFH when I had too I got a nice cheque back for £312. I also now pay lower tax.
"So I thank you Sir. Wave to my Mum next time." Another added: "Martin just wanted to say thankyou for your website you’ve saved me a few bob over the years to counter this person’s comments."
