Married at First Sight UK's first two couples exit show - ahead of line-up overhaul

Married at First Sight fans watched the first two exits from the E4 experiment air in Wednesday’s episode.

Married At First Sight UK has returned for another explosive series following a hit run last autumn on E4.

After weeks of trying to find a spark, Jess and Pjay gave up on their marriage on the reality show after sharing brutal truths.

As the cast gathered with the show’s relationship experts, Jess revealed in the commitment ceremony that she has no ‘sexual attraction’ towards Pjay.

Jess decided to leave but despite the blow, Pjay asked if there was anything in their relationship ‘worth fighting for’, to which Jess replied with another teary blunt ‘no’.

The realisation hit Pjay and he decided to change his original decision from ‘stay’ to ‘leave’.

Later in the dramatic commitment ceremony, it was then revealed that Richie and Lara had made the decision to leave the experiment – with Richie clearly heart broken as he thought he had ‘found the one’.

Lara explained: "Honestly, I've had the time of my life. This has been really great. But I think unfortunately for me, it's going to be a 'leave'."

Richie replied: "She's very precious. I think the world of her. There's no doubt about that. I am gutted, but for all the things that have or haven't happened, I have to say 'leave'."

The show has already provided viewers with enough fireworks to last the whole series, but just when fans thought the show couldn’t get any better, producers have revealed there are two new couples joining the line-up.

With a longer run of 30 episodes, the hit show is introducing four more excitable singletons into the mix as they put their lives in the hands of love experts and get married at first sight.

Some more of the UK’s most adventurous singles will put the search for love in the hands of relationship experts Mel Schilling, Paul C. Brunson and Charlene Douglas.

On Thursday September 15, four new singles are set to shake up the experiment, with two new marriages airing tomorrow evening.

Meanwhile, drama has been brewing among the remaining couples on the show, as Thomas has taken a swipe at his co-star April after last night's explosive dinner party episode.

Thomas accused April of being a ‘liar’ at the show's second dinner party on Tuesday night after she apparently told Chanita he had been ‘s*****g’ her off.

Following the broadcast of the episode on Tuesday evening, Thomas shared a photo on Instagram of a snake wrapped around his neck and captioned it: “I love snakes. I mean, look at my face,” in an apparent swipe at his co-star.

April wasn't in attendance at the dinner party to defend herself as she had skipped the event due to illness. Speaking about April, who won Miss Great Britain in 2019, Thomas said to the cameras: “You can stand up and say you want World Peace but at the end of the day, you're still a f**king liar!”
