Marks and Spencer say you can do your weekly shop there for £25

Marks & Spencer's Food Hall is considered by some the height of luxury when it comes to food shopping, with the supermarket often associated with quality food which is a bit more expensive than its competitors. However, the brand has tried to prove its prices are just as reasonable as other supermarkets, showing shoppers how they can get a weeks worth of food for under £25.

In a video posted by the supermarket, M&S shows how you can get all your weekly essentials without breaking the bank. The post on Instagram said: "Weekly shop for under £25? Challenge accepted! Discover everyday low prices on the things you buy most, all with the highest quality and standards you’d expect from us. Because this is not just value. This is Remarksable Value at M&S."

Goodies found in the basket include fresh fruit and vegetables, milk, eggs, bread, soup, sauces, tea bags, fresh meat, rice, pasta, cereal, butter and cheese. Read more: 'I compared Nivea, Dove, Right Guard, Sure and Sanex and a £1 bottle proved to be the best'

According to the video, the shop came in at £22.09. The post proves that shoppers don't need to skimp on quality to fill up their fridge.

As prices soar, this news is reassuring to shoppers needing to tighten their belt. Recently, one reporter compared the prices of their Aldi shop from June 2021 to now. They found that the overall difference in price between June 2021 and May 2022 is £7.54, or more than 11 per cent.

Just last month, we tried to get a week's worth of shopping at Asda for under £30, and whilst the list of products was comparable to the M&S video, the cost of the shopping was £28.13. It seems like shoppers wanting to make cuts might find the answer at M&S.
