Marks and Spencer pledges support to Holly Willoughby in 'queue-gate' row

Officials at M&S have pledged support to ambassador Holly Willougby in the wake of the so-called 'queue-gate' row. She and fellow ITV This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield were accused of 'queue jumping' at Westminster Hall during the period of national mourning when the Queen was Lying in State.

The pair faced a public backlash with some even signing a petition to have the pair axed from their morning show. ITV had been forced to release a statement clarifying Holly and Phil were there in a professional capacity with "press accreditation", saying they "did not file past The Queen's coffin".

ITV added any allegations of improper behaviour were "categorically untrue". Holly and Phil have both publicly denied the alleged 'queue jump'.
