Marks and Spencer outfit leaves thousands of shoppers lusting over 'divine' style

Marks and Spencer fans are "obsessing" over a summer dress after a stylist shared a snap of herself wearing it online.

The simple white cotton midi dress with lace detailing had one woman declaring she would "pay treble" for it after spotting it on social media, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Stylist @clementinemacneice posted a photo on Instagram modelling the dress last week, teaming it with a pair of beige M&S heeled sandals.

Her followers described it the outfit as "gorgeous" and "absolutely divine" and it caught the attention of the M&S social media team.

They shared it on the retailer's official account with the caption: "Soaking up the sun in this pure cotton bohemian-style number."

More than 9,000 people hit the 'heart' button in response.

One fan commented: "Stunning dress looks beautiful.

"It looks white here but it’s actually cream in store.

"Absolutely beautiful dress would pay treble for this dress in other high street stores."

Another shopper, tagging a friend, simply said: "Obsessed."

"Can you ship this dress to the States?" asked a third from overseas.

The 100 per cent cotton dress is available in white or black on the M&S website and in regular or long length, retailing at £49.50.

Several commenters called for a petite version, and many of the reviews online also note that the item looked long on a more petite frame.
