Mark Davies, 53, dies after going missing for two weeks in Leeds city centre

A Brighouse man who was missing for two weeks in Leeds has sadly died.

53-year-old Mark Davies was last seen in the city centre on October 15, and was reported missing on October 17. West Yorkshire Police (WYP) launched a missing person appeal and conducted extensive searches to find him.

He was last seen at St George’s Crypt, in Leeds, where he left at 6.30pm the following day on Sunday, October 16. It is believed he may have been sleeping rough, and his family think he may have gone to Leeds Train Station for the last train.

At the time of his disappearance, Zoe Bannister, who is married to Mark's cousin, said: "We’re very worried as his mental health is quite low at the minute. As the days go by, it’s getting more worrying and we’re all starting to think the worst.

"The days are getting on, he’s got no money on him and no bank card. We’re all devastated because it’s just out of character for him to go missing."
