Margot Robbie led the glamour as she arrived at the world premiere of Emerald Fennell’s new adaptation of Wuthering Heights at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
The long-awaited Gothic reimagining of Emily Brontë’s novel lands in cinemas next month, but buzz has been building for weeks, fuelled by a provocative first trailer and early images of Robbie on set in a wedding dress as Catherine Earnshaw.
For the red carpet, the 35-year-old opted for a dramatic Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown, elevating the look with one of Elizabeth Taylor’s most famous jewellery pieces.
Robbie wore the Taj Mahal diamond necklace, reportedly worth around $8 million (£5.8m), which was gifted to Taylor by Richard Burton for her 40th birthday in 1970 and remains one of the most recognisable items from the late actor’s legendary collection.

After her solo photos, Robbie was joined by co-star Jacob Elordi, who plays Heathcliff in the film.
The pair, who have both admitted to being “obsessed” with one another, posed hand-in-hand and laughed their way down the carpet.
Elordi, 28, recently described Robbie as “breathtaking” on screen and cut a sharp figure himself in an all-black ensemble.
He also wore a matching signet ring that he and Robbie both had made, featuring an engraving of two skeletons embracing alongside the words: “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.”

The rings are also etched with the initials of Cathy and Heathcliff, and the dates “1847–2026” — a nod to the year Brontë’s novel was published and the release of Fennell’s adaptation.
Robbie was also joined by her husband, film producer Tom Ackerley, 35, with whom she shares a one-year-old son.
The couple co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment, which produced Wuthering Heights, and Ackerley stood proudly beside his wife in a classic black tuxedo.
Other stars on the carpet included director Emerald Fennell and Charli XCX, who has contributed to the film’s soundtrack.
The singer chose a gold strapless gown with a plunging neckline and sculptural hip detailing, while Hong Chau, who plays Elly Dean, turned heads in a grey plaid strapless dress layered over a blue gingham shirt.

Shazad Latif, 37, who stars as Edgar Linton, arrived in a sleek black coat over a white shirt and tie, while Alison Oliver, 28, who plays Isabella Linton, opted for a strapless gown with a side cut-out revealing a frilled green petticoat.
Fennell’s adaptation of Brontë’s 1847 novel has already sparked debate, revisiting the stormy romance between Catherine and the brooding Heathcliff — a story that famously inspired Kate Bush’s 1978 number one single.
The film also stars Adolescence actor Owen Cooper, 15, as the younger Heathcliff, and is released in cinemas on Valentine’s Day.
