Marcus Rashford reveals he's back with childhood sweetheart with loved-up snaps

Marcus Rashford has melted hearts by sharing loved-up pictures of himself and his childhood sweetheart.

The Manchester United hero confirmed that he has reconciled with Lucia Loi after it was reported in May last year that they had split after eight years together.

The couple, who met at Ashton-on-Mersey School, reportedly went their separate ways amid the pandemic.

And he shared with his 12.5million followers a gallery of photos of the smitten couple shopping, on nights out and on holiday.

The striker and PR executive Lucia are the picture of happiness in the photo collection and fellow footie aces welcomed the post.

Jesse Lingard posted a heart and heart-eye emoji in response and another United teammate Brandon Williams said: "Love to see it."

And Manchester City's Kyle Walker shared two hearts, while Marcus' brother Dane posted a raising hands in celebration emoji.

Rashford, 24, was awarded an MBE for his campaign to support vulnerable children.

He was recognised for his campaign in 2020 to ensure no child in need went hungry, which resulted in the government changing policy over its free school meals vouchers during lockdown.

The England forward maintained his drive for social change by forming a child food poverty taskforce, which linked up with some of the UK’s biggest supermarkets and food brands.

The Manchester United forward also collected an honorary degree from the University of Manchester and became the youngest recipient of such an award at the university.

He also joined Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Bobby Charlton by receiving an honorary doctorate from Manchester University.
