Marcus Rashford hits back at reports of Man United dressing room frustrations with Cristiano Ronaldo

Marcus Rashford has shut down suggestions that there is a dressing room divide at Man United caused by Cristiano Ronaldo.

German publication BILD reported that Rashford and Harry Maguire were among the players frustrated with Ronaldo’s attempts to lead the dressing room, which was in danger of leading to a split between United players.

However, Rashford took to Twitter to dismiss the rumours and downplay any suggestion that there were problems.

He tweeted: “Are we just making it up as we go along now then?

“Please stop looking for divides.”

There were also reports last week that several players were frustrated with the training sessions under Ralf Rangnick, which are largely led by his American assistant Chris Armas.

ESPN claimed that some at the club were referring to Armas as fictional American head coach Ted Lasso, something which led to Gary Neville voicing his frustrations at the attitude of United’s stars.

“The fact they were describing the number two of Ralf Rangnick as Ted Lasso, I didn’t find it funny at all,” he said on the Gary Neville Podcast.

“I thought it was disrespectful. I thought it was disgusting in fact. In fact, it actually summed up what I think of them, that they are disrespectful.

“I think if I was Ralf Rangnick and his number two, I would gain strength from that, because I wouldn’t want to be on the same page as some of those players that are leaking that story.”
