Tyler Roberts has credited Marcelo Bielsa for increasing his opportunities with Wales.
Leeds attacker Roberts played the full 90 minutes in his country's 3-0 defeat to England last week and could be handed a chance to feature against Bulgaria on Wednesday due to injuries and suspensions.
The 21-year-old has featured regularly for the Whites this season and feels he is benefitting from Marcelo Bielsa's influence.
Talking to BBC Sport, Roberts says he thinks the Wales coaching setup has also noticed the improvements he has made in understanding the game under Bielsa.
Roberts said: "He's just made me understand the game at a completely different level.
"I think I've matured extremely since he's been at the club, kind of just knowing more about the game and what needs to be done.
"I think people at Wales have realised that, it's just the person he's moulded me into."
Roberts, who joined Leeds from West Brom in January 2018, says he is enjoying the increased number of opportunities he has been getting for both club and country recently.
The versatile attacker, who has now been capped eight times for Wales, also said that he sees himself becoming more of an out-and-out striker as he matures.
"I'm definitely enjoying my football at the moment," he said.
"I'm obviously really grateful that both managers for club and country are putting trust in me and giving me the opportunity and the minutes to go and express myself, learn and play football.
"I'm just trying to take every single opportunity I can."
He added: "All my life I've kind of been a striker and a number nine but I've obviously adapted to playing in different positions.
"I don't mind playing in a number 10 position, attacking midfield or out wide.
"Ultimately, over my career, I think I see myself as a number nine but a versatile one."
