Manchester United XI vs Man City: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for FA Cup final today

Manchester United welcome Mason Mount back to their squad for today’s FA Cup final against Manchester City, but Casemiro is absent.

The summer signing has endured an injury-hit first season at Old Trafford, limited to only 19 appearances across all competitions.

Despite returning from a longstanding calf issue, his run-in was curtailed by a setback which Erik ten Hag confirmed as clearing up ahead of the final.

Mount is set to make the squad along with Victor Lindelof, as the United boss said on Thursday: “Tomorrow is the final training session and we’ll make the final decisions, but the way I see it now it looks good.”

Casemiro, though, has reportedly not been fully involved in training this week, and misses out. Anthony Martial has seemingly played his final game for the club after not being pictured with the travelling squad on Saturday.

Harry Maguire misses out after his muscle injury failed to heal “as expected”, according to Ten Hag, along with Luke Shaw despite both included in England’s 33-man provisional squad for Euro 2024. Marcus Rashford, who did not make the Three Lions squad, starts.

Ten Hag is under pressure at Old Trafford amid suggestions he will be sacked after the showpiece game at Wembley.
