Manchester United will look to secure loan moves for youngsters Ethan Galbraith, Dylan Levitt, Matej Kovar and Di'Shon Bernard next season.
MEN Sport understands the young quartet are among those in the United Under-23s squad under consideration for loans, as the club looks to kick on with many players' development this summer.
United have favoured a policy of keeping their U23s in-house group small and sending players aged 19 or above down the English football league system to get regular game time.
Levitt, 20, and Kovar, 21, both spent time on loan in League One last season, enduring difficult spells at Charlton and Swindon respectively. Levitt returned in January and then headed back out on loan to Croatian side Istra 1961, while goalkeeper Kovar returned to spend some time in the Under-23s.
Levitt has just been named in the Wales squad for this summer's European Championship and is highly rated by his national team's coaches.
It is thought Kovar could be found a loan with a European club, with United keen to rebuild his confidence after a tough time at Swindon. United sources told MEN Sport a team on the continent could suit the keeper's style.
Bernard enjoyed a decent spell at Class of 92-owned League Two side Salford City, playing in a number of defensive roles to help the Ammies to the brink of the play-offs. The centre-back, 20, played 31 times for Salford and is expected to secure another loan, likely in League One, this summer.
Galbraith has suffered a few injury issues this season, recently hampered by a groin problem, and United would like to send him out on loan to cut his teeth in league football. Like Levitt he is a 20-year-old central midfielder and has already played international football, for Northern Ireland.
Levitt, Kovar and Bernard see their deals at United expire in June 2022, while Galbraith — who was pictured alongside Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signing a new deal at the start of the 2020/21 campaign — is contracted to the club until June 2023, with the option to extend for another year.
The MEN previously reported that James Garner and Teden Mengi — among the peers of the four aforementioned players at Old Trafford — will be considered under Solskjaer's first-team 'umbrella' next term; although there is interest from clubs in signing them on loan.
