Manchester United vs West Ham LIVE!
West Ham leapfrogged Manchester United in the Premier League table on Sunday after battling to a 2-0 win at Old Trafford. It was among their best performances since manager Graham Potter’s arrival, with a clear tactical vision starting to emerge as the Hammers defended doggedly and attacked with incisive pace.
The goals came either side of the halftime break thanks to Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen, two simple finishes bookending clinical attacking moves. Aaron Wan-Bissaka played a key role in both on his return to Old Trafford, feeding Mohammed Kudus in behind to set up the opener before assisting the second himself.
Ultimately, it marks another knock to Man United’s momentum ahead of the Europa League final, which is now less than two weeks away, though he will take some comfort from the fact that fellow finalists Tottenham were also beaten. He was also forced to substitute Leny Yoro in the second half with an injury, another knock to his European prospects. The dearth between United’s continental and domestic form, though, will once again raise questions. Follow the game LIVE below with our dedicated match blog!

14:05 , Arthur FerridgeWarmups are over, kick off comes next!
Potter to be reunited with Mount
14:00 , Arthur FerridgeGraham Potter will not look back particularly fondly on his time in charge of Chelsea, but he did develop a good rapport with Mason Mount. The pair will be reunited at Old Trafford today.
Ahead of the tie, Potter said he was “a pleasure to work with, I have to say. Really, really, really good guy who gave his best every day.
“I know his quality. He's probably had a tough few years, I would say, because of the situation with Chelsea and then going to a new club and maybe injuries.
"But the quality of the person is at the highest level and the quality of the player is also at the highest level.”
Can Wan-Bissaka perform against his former club?
13:49 , Arthur FerridgeAaron Wan-Bissaka made a dream move to Man United in 2019 and spent five years at Old Trafford but never quite hit form.
Now plying his trade in east London, can he come back to bite his former club?

Maguire dropped, Mount added
13:40 , Arthur FerridgeHarry Maguire is a man transformed of late - he has hit form for Man United and played a key role in both legs of the Europa League semi-final.
He gets a much-needed rest today, dropping to the bench as Shaw and Mazraoui slot into the centre-back roles.
Mason Mount, though, is rewarded with a start in an a No10 role after his stunning cameo against Athletic Club, where he bagged a brace in a 28-minute appearance. He chipped the ‘keeper from 40-yards for his second goal of the night.
Where is Lucas Paqueta?
13:31 , Arthur FerridgeRumours swirled around star West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta this week. He was seen in tears after being booked against Tottenham, and some wondered if he would play again this seaso-n.
Potter told the media that he was ‘frustrated’ with his situation. He had been accused of deliberately earning yellow cards so as to earn money for friends and family in Brazil, a charge he has denied throughout court the investigation.
He is on the bench for today’s match.
Three changes for West Ham
13:21 , Arthur FerridgeGraham Potter makes changes from the side which drew at home to Tottenham last time out.
It will be an extra man in midfield for the Hammers as Ward-Prowse comes in and Fullkrug drops to the bench, the attack consisting only of Bowen and Kudus.
Paqueta makes way for Guido Rodriguez, and Emerson for Coufal.
Amorim makes minor changes
13:12 , Arthur FerridgeRuben Amorim has named a stronger squad than one might have expected, opting to keep his players sharp rather than resting them ahead of the Europa League final.
Altay Bayindir comes in for Andre Onana in goal, and Harry Amass slots in at wing-back. Mason Mount and Kobbie Mainoo both impressed against Athletic Club, and their efforts are rewarded with starts.

Team news up next
12:53 , Arthur FerridgeLineups will release in just a few minutes.
West Ham's talisman
12:46 , Arthur FerridgeIf there is one player Man United need to silence today, it is Jarrod Bowen.
With 10 goals and seven assists in the Premier League this season, he is comfortably the Hammers’ most consistent performer.
On his day, Mohammed Kudus will also pose a major threat with his pace and tricky dribbling, but he has not been at his best for long stretches this year. He can cause a lot of problems on his day.
United last time out
12:37 , Arthur FerridgeUnited’s last match was a big one - they qualified for the Europa League final with a 4-1 home win over Athletic Club.
The visitors were the better side for much of the game, but the tides turned with about 25 minutes remaining when Amorim introduced Mason Mount. The former Chelsea man scored a late brace to give United the lead on the night and extend their already comfortable lead in the tie, before Casemiro and Hojlund added two more for good measure.
Whether any of Thursday’s goalscorers feature today is up in the air. Team news will come soon, though.
Four West Ham players set to depart
12:28 , Arthur FerridgeAaron Cresswell, Lukasz Fabianski, Vladimir Coufal and Danny Ings are all set to leave West Ham as free agents at the end of the season.
The Hammers have the oldest squad in the Premier League and have been preparing for a summer rebuild. The four departing players were among the oldest in the team.
Graham Potter said: “Aaron, Lukasz, Vladimir and Danny have been a pleasure to work with in my time here so far — all brilliant professionals on and off the pitch, with fantastic experience in the Premier League, and clearly loved and admired by their team-mates and everyone here at the club.”
What does this match mean to Graham Potter?
12:20 , Arthur FerridgeThings have not quite gone Graham Potter’s way since he joined West Ham in January. He has won just three of his 16 matches since arriving, struggling to hide his frustration as he spoke to the press.
A win today would bring a huge boost to the club, adding much-needed belief that things will get better next year.
Potter, too, will hope that players will take to his system after a full preseason campaign and transfer window.
West Ham at Old Trafford
12:13 , Arthur FerridgeThe Hammers do not tend to perform at Old Trafford. Their last league win there came way back in 2007 - a 0-1 win decided by a Carlos Tevez goal shortly after halftime.
West Ham did, however, manage a League Cup win there in 2021, again by a one-goal margin. Manuel Lanzini was the hero that day.
The overall head-to-head is rather unbalanced:
Man United wins: 70
West Ham wins: 41
Draws: 31
Prediction: A low-key draw
12:03 , Arthur FerridgeNeither United nor West Ham are doing particularly well in the league of late, and both are somewhat distracted. For United, eyes are on the Europa League final. For West Ham, the aim is simply to get to the end of the season and rebuild ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
This game is a dead rubber for both teams, but West Ham will have an opportunity to secure their first league win at Old Trafford in almost two decades. Jarrod Bowen earned his team a point against Tottenham last time out and it will be up to United’s back line to stop him.
Man United 1-1 West Ham
West Ham team news: Alvarez returns
11:58 , Arthur FerridgeThere is just one update to West Ham’s squad today, as Edson Alvarez is back in contention after missing the last three games due to a back injury.
Both Crysencio Summerville and Michail Antonio are out for the foreseeable.
Man United team news: Amorim expected to rotate
11:53 , Arthur FerridgeUnited dragged themselves to a hard-fought win over Athletic Club on Thursday to qualify for the Europa League, and Ruben Amorim will be keen to avoid any fresh injuries ahead of that match. As such, expect a heavily rotated squad today.
Several players remain unavailable for the hosts, though. They will be without Matthijs de Ligt, who was forced off with a muscle problem in last week’s defeat to Brentford, but there is hope he will play again this season.
Toby Collyer (leg) and Ayden Heaven (ankle) will face late fitness tests, but Lisandro Martinez (knee), Joshua Zirkzee (thigh) and Diogo Dalot (calf) all remain sidelined.
