Manchester United 'very close' to making first summer signing - and more transfer rumours

Thomas Meunier is 'very close' to completing a move to Manchester United after deciding to snub interest from Arsenal, reports in Belgium say.

Meunier has been linked with a move away from PSG, and now La Dernière Heure suggest he is closing in on a €25million switch to United.

PSG are said to be keen for any transfer to be completed quickly, and Meunier has apparently set his heart on a move to Old Trafford.

The Belgium international is said to have rejected a number of other moves already and will now seek out a move to United.

If he does sign for United, he would become the first signing of the summer from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with Wales youngster Daniel James also set to sign.

Meanwhile, United have been linked with AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to reports in Italy.

Il Corriere della Sera say United would need to pay €60million to sign the young Italian, who would be brought in should David de Gea leave this summer.

However, the report says United have contacted Donnaruma's agent Mino Raiola over the possible signing, but Raiola has been banned by both the English and Italian FA’s from any transfer activity.

Finally, A Bola  claim United are ‘ahead’ of Man City in the race to sign Bruno Fernandes and that the club are planning to make a ‘strong proposal’ for him.

The latest reports now suggest Bruno Fernandes could be a United player ‘in the next few days’.
