Manchester United 'to demand two Real Madrid players in return for Paul Pogba'

Manchester United will only contemplate selling Paul Pogba to Real Madrid in the summer if Toni Kroos and Gareth Bale move in the opposite direction, according to reports.

Pogba admitted over the international break that it would be a 'dream' to play for the La Liga giants and expressed his interest in working with Zinedine Zidane after the manager was reinstalled at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Zidane fuelled further uncertainty over Pogba's Old Trafford future by talking up the midfielder's credentials ahead of Los Blancos' league game against Huesca on Friday.

"I know him personally," Zidane said of Pogba, whose current United deal expires in the summer of 2021. "He brings so much and there are few players who bring as much as he does. He's a midfielder who knows how to defend and how to attack."

Pogba remains United's record signing after his £89million arrival in 2016 and has been much improved since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took the reigns from Jose Mourinho in December.

The Sun report that Kroos and Bale would be pivotal to Madrid acquiring Pogba, who has scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists across 38 United appearances to date this season.

Kroos, 29, has played 36 times for Madrid this season while Bale, also 29, has made one appearance fewer. Both have won four Champions League titles at the Bernabéu.
