Manchester United squad vs Norwich revealed with Harry Maguire sporting a black eye

Anthony Elanga is in the Manchester United squad for the trip to Norwich City after being included in a matchday group for the third time in a row under Ralf Rangnick.

United flew to Norwich late this afternoon ahead of Rangnick's third game in charge on Saturday teatime. Harry Maguire was also in the squad despite sporting a black eye as he arrived at Manchester Airport.

Rangnick has overseen a win against Crystal Palace and an inconsequential draw in the Champions League dead-rubber against Young Boys so far.

The interim confirmed earlier on Friday that Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Nemanja Matic could be doubts for the game and neither were pictured arriving at the airport, although they could have used a different car park.

Wan-Bissaka received injuries to his leg and wrist on Wednesday night while Matic has been feeling unwell this week, although he has not tested positive for Covid-19.

United have a win and a draw from Rangnick's first two games in charge and he's happy with what he's seen in his first seven days in the job.

"In the first instance, it was about getting to know the players. We had 45 minutes before Palace and we did quite a lot of video footage with them in order to tell them how we want to play," he said.

"As we all saw, they did well in that game. Not everything was perfect, but quite a few things worked out well. We were always on the front foot, we had control of the game. Now it's about taking the next steps. What we showed against Crystal Palace was good. We didn't allow them to score or give them too many opportunities."

One player who isn't yet ready for a return is Paul Pogba, but he is due back in Manchester this weekend after holding talks with Rangnick earlier this week.

"We spoke over the phone on Tuesday," Rangnick explained. "He was still in Dubai, he is expected to come back today and then we get to know each other in person on Sunday.

"We have had a telephone call. He told me he is getting better but, obviously, he is still not fully fit. From what I have heard so far, it will take another couple of weeks until he can train again. And then he has been out for quite some time, so then it will take another couple of weeks to get him match-fit.

"But in the first instance now, it is important he gets fully fit in order to be able train with the rest of the group and then we have to develop him physically and technically to also be fit to play in the Premier League."

In total 10 players were pictured arriving at Manchester Airport, but the majority of the squad were able to park at the private terminal, with these squad members having to use a separate car park before being ferried to the terminal by bus.

Confirmed squad members: De Gea, Henderson, Lindelof, Jones, Shaw, Telles, Fred, McTominay, Fernandes, Elanga
