Manchester United have shared a video of summer signing Cristiano Ronaldo walking out onto the Old Trafford turf for the first time since returning to the club.
Ronaldo rejoined United just over a week ago on a two-year deal follow a shock decision to leave Juventus.
Arriving in Manchester last Friday, Ronaldo had to spend five days in quarantine due to travel restrictions surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, meaning the five-time Ballon d'Or winner had to wait to link up with his new team-mates.
However, now out of self-isolation, the former Real Madrid man has been training alongside his new team-mates since Tuesday ahead of the prospect of him making his second United debut on Saturday against Newcastle United at Old Trafford.
But ahead of walking into a baptism of fire at Old Trafford this weekend, with a sell-out crowd expected, Ronaldo has sampled the taste of exiting the players' tunnel and walking out onto the pitch with nothing other than empty seats to observe him.
United have uploaded a 15-second video to their official Twitter page, showing him coming out of the tunnel, donning his No.7 shirt, smiling, look left to the Stretford End and then pausing at the edge of the pitch with his arms out wide, with nothing other than Old Trafford, basking in the sunshine, around him.
The video symbolises Ronaldo's homecoming and almost makes you realise that he is back at the club where he first made a name for himself and that the fans are not dreaming.
Alongside the video they released, United tweeted: "He's home. @Cristiano. #MUFC #HereWeBelong."
All eyes will be on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's starting line-up on Saturday afternoon to see if Ronaldo has made the starting line-up, with his return to Old Trafford guaranteed to dominate the headlines regardless of the result on the pitch.
