Manchester United 'make offer' for Benjamin Sesko and other transfer rumours

Manchester United have reportedly submitted an offer for RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko.

Erik ten Hag is keen to bring in a new attacker before deadline day. Cristiano Ronaldo ’s future is uncertain amid his desire to leave the club, despite the United boss saying the Portuguese is still part of his plans.

Even so, the reports of Anthony Martial’s hamstring issue ahead of the Premier League opener with Brighton on Sunday has highlighted the club’s lack of depth up front. United have been mulling over a move for 19-year-old Sesko, who netted ten times last season.

The Slovenian attacker attracted even more attention following his impressive goal in a pre-season friendly against Liverpool last month. And now, a report published by Slovenian outlet Sportklub claims United have tabled a 'concrete offer' for Sesko, albeit no fee has been quoted.

The report also states Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain hold an interest while Newcastle, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have also been linked. Elsewhere, Forza Roma claims Jose Mourinho has enquired about Victor Lindelof.

The centre-half is likely to be subjected to limited game time at Old Trafford this season with the arrival of Lisandro Martinez. But now Roma could be prepared to offer him more minutes, with the club also linked with Eric Bailly.

Mourinho brought Lindelof to United in 2017 and reportedly fancies a reunion, which could come at a cost of £25m.
