Manchester United line up vs Barcelona includes Marcus Rashford, Fred and Diogo Dalot

Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay have been named in the starting line up for Manchester United to face Barcelona.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named his team for the Champions League quarter final first leg at Old Trafford, with one change from the defeat at Wolves as Rashford replaces Jesse Lingard.

United had been waiting on the fitness of Rashford after the striker had missed the defeat to Wolves, but he returns to partner Romelu Lukaku in attack.

In midfield, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic were not included in the matchday squad after Solskjaer yesterday said Matic was a doubt while Herrera was 'probably' out.

That means starting spots for McTominay, Fred and Paul Pogba in midfield, with Diogo Dalot seemingly used as a right winger.

In defence, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof are given the unenviable task of stopping Lionel Messi - who starts for Barcelona.

Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Anthony Martial are United's attacking options from the bench, while Andreas Pereira is also among the substitutes.

Manchester United starting XI vs Barcelona: De Gea; Young, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw; Dalot, McTominay, Fred, Pogba; Rashford, Lukaku.

Man Utd subs: Romero, Jones, Rojo, Pereira, Lingard, Mata, Martial.
