Manchester United 'learn' Rasmus Hojlund pricetag and more transfer rumours

Manchester United will reportedly have to bid more than £62million to sign Atalanta centre-forward Rasmus Hojlund during the summer transfer window.

The Reds have made signing a top-class centre-forward a priority ahead of the summer transfer window, with manager Erik ten Hag making Tottenham's Harry Kane his top target. Napoli's Victor Osimhen, Ajax star Mohammed Kudus, Benfica's Goncalo Ramos and Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani are also of interest.

But now, Corriere Della Sera reports that a fee of between £58m and £62m may be needed to prise the Denmark striker away from Italy, but that could change if a summer auction is sparked for the 20-year-old. Transfer bids are yet to come for the player, despite Atalanta chief executive Luca Percassi visiting Stamford Bridge last month for their Champions League round of 16 tie against Borussia Dortmund amid reports of a £60m million offer forthcoming from Chelsea.

Another striker United remain linked with is Randal Kolo Muani, who is approaching the 20-goal mark during his first season in Germany with Eintracht Frankfurt. But SPORT1 reports Kolo Muani is said to be in favour of staying in Germany this summer and wants a move to Bayern Munich. Interest from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain also exists.

United are reported to have taken a closer look at Kolo Muani over the winter and "obtained initial information from the player's immediate environment", the report adds.

Perennial Bundesliga champions Bayern are known to need a centre-forward this summer, with Hojlund and Victor Osimhen thought to be other options, meaning any move for Kolo Muani could increase United's odds of landing either of those alternatives.
