Manchester United handed Erling Haaland boost and more transfer rumours

Manchester United target Erling Haaland is reportedly 'dreaming' of securing a move to the Premier League.

That is according to Sky Sports Germany, as cited by Old Trafford Faithful, who report the Borussia Dortmund striker is desperate to prove his worth in England.

Haaland, who scored a staggering 41 goals in 41 appearances for Dortmund last season, has been closely linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, most frequently with Chelsea. However, now that the Blues have landed Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan it means that United have one less rival standing in their way for his signature.

As reported by MEN Sport earlier this year, Haaland is United's top priority when it comes to the task of beefing up their attacking options in the future.

Meanwhile, Italian giants Atalanta are interested in signing United winger Daniel James ahead of the transfer window closing in less than three weeks' time.

That is according to a report by Tuttomercatoweb, who claim the Serie A outfit want to lay their hands on the Wales international to bolster their attacking options.

James, who joined United from Swansea City back in the summer of 2019, has not always been a regular at Old Trafford since making the move more than two years ago. The recent addition of Jadon Sancho to the squad could push him even further down the pecking order too, with competition out wide set to be fierce.

It is claimed that Atalanta are interested in his services and could launch a bid for him before the window closes.

Leeds United, who were close to signing James a few months before he made the move to Old Trafford, and Southampton have also been linked with him.

The Wales international has scored six times and claimed seven assists in 48 Premier League appearances since joining the Reds.

Elsewhere, according to Brazilian outlet TNT Sports, Everton have approached United about the prospect of signing midfielder Andreas Pereira on loan for the duration of the 2021/22 campaign.

Despite featuring in pre-season for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Brazilian is unlikely to figure in his plans for the upcoming campaign, meaning he faces a lengthy period of time of gaining minimal match action unless he seals an exit.

Pereira, who has already made it clear that he is now at an age where he needs to be playing frequently, is also interesting Brazilian outfit Flamengo. It is reported that Everton have offered to take the midfielder on loan for the season and have an option to buy him on a permanent basis at the end of it.
